This is largely due to the fact that (as with anything else) various marketing companies specialize in one aspect of SEO or another. The important thing is to look for a company that includes all of the top marketing tools. If you can find a complete package, then you can be certain that your site will be marketed properly. Otherwise, you are going to rely upon only one service or another, which might not get your site very far in the long run.

What kinds of SEO services should you look for? Basic services such as keyword lists, keyword placements, and search engine placement should be included in any kind of marketing package. Companies (such as SEOintelligence) that go the extra mile often include real-time tracking, keyword analysis reports, competition trackers, report managers, and various other tools that will keep your site above the rest. These top companies manage to maintain their clients by always providing new marketing and advertising tactics. Since the internet is an ever-evolving place, it only makes sense to keep up with those changing times.

Now that you know what SEO services to look for, what kinds of services should you avoid? If a company cannot guarantee any kind of decent search engine placement, then it’s best to avoid this company. In addition, all great marketing companies should be able to provide client testimonials, professional references, and an up-to-date blog that lists all the latest industry information. These things are all signs of a top-notch company. Those companies that lack any of these things may be companies to watch out for. As with anything else on the internet, there are lots of marketing companies that are less than desirable.

Do you need SEO services? Absolutely you do. Where can you find the best ones? Look for companies that include all of the things listed above. In order to draw lots of traffic to your site, you must focus on marketing your site across the internet. This includes spending money on marketing tools and advertising companies that know their stuff. In the end, the investment that you make in marketing your site will pay off with lots of revenue and repeat customers. While all marketing companies will offer different packages, those that can offer all the latest SEO tactics rolled into one package are the best ones to choose.

In a weighting an average of Google PR (which can’t be completely ignored) and mozRank, we’ve had good luck determining SERPs competitiveness and page strength with this formula:

    * Turn off personalized search, to the greatest extent possible. Search is the unfortunate wildcard.
* Search for a target keyword for evaluation of SERPs competitiveness.
* Average the PageRank and mozRank of the top 5 Google organic results, including Universal Search results into an aggregate number. (((Result 1 PR   mR) / 2)   ((Result 2 (PR*.4)   (mR*1.6)) / 2)   ((Result 3 (PR*.4)   (mR*1.6)) / 2)   ((Result 4(PR*.4)   (mR*1.6)) / 2)   ((Result 5 (PR*.4)   (mR*1.6))/ 2))) /5 = SERPs Competitiveness Index for the Keyword
* Compare that 0-10 number with 2 decimal places to the averaged PageRank and mozRank for the Page Strength of the page you’re trying to rank in the SERPs
* If the page strength is above the Competitiveness index, then the page has a decent shot at ranking.
* We use various method to predict the future page strength, by evaluating the history of similar pages in the site hierarchy. We’ll save that for another post.

Get to Know SEO: The technique of writing keyword rich content, fixing the website code, adding META tags, etc that make your website search engine friendly is known as SEO. Search engine optimization is implemented to make your website or blog site accessible to all search engines such as Google, AltaVista, Yahoo!, and MSN among others. These search engines store your website information in their vast databases and help the internet users to look for information/services/products related to your website.

Implementing DIY SEO techniques: The DIY SEO techniques are easy to implement and can be used in all the webpages of your website/blog site; they can resolve many design and content issues as well. That being said, it’s best to start with one page of your website, clean up all the basic optimization issues, and move on to the next page and so on. So, we’ll start at this point. Look for consistent as well as redundant issues and fix them in all the webpages/blog pages. This assures you and search engine robots/crawlers to scan your website content and collect information and stack it on their databases.

Checklist to become a SE favorite: Following the below mentioned checklist will bring you recognition and success as you land on the first couple of search engine page results. I followed the check list and reaped rich rewards, you can do the same and here’s what you need to do.

1. Remove any or all roadblocks/obstacles that may prevent the search engine crawlers from reaching your website. Test, test, test, and test your website before you go live. Remember, an error ridden website is also an unfriendly website for search engine crawlers.

2. Open all doors (read all webpages), wide open for the SE crawlers allowing them to examine each and every web page of your website or blog site. Categorize, maintain, and keep your website clean. Remove/delete any or all broken or orphan posts/links etc.

3. Maintain keyword density to a maximum of between 2-4% only. Use key phrases that categorize your web content efficiently. A crucial clue for search engine crawlers, keywords are all important. Spread keywords through the content on every page for better identification. Content is the KING!!

4. Your META tags should be labeled, categorized, and well-recognized so that they can be correctly tagged by the web crawlers.

5. Take full advantage of the pinging services.

Of course, I may let on that I have not included anything that is related to advertising your website. For me, SEO is about making a website completely accessible to all search engines and not about the amount of money it can make for you!

Alright, I figured I’d address this issue before it became more widely discussed (already grumbling in the forums) – and post an official SEOiQ vs. SiteSeer Challenge now.

As background: The other day a Super Affiliate Friend of mine (who shall remain nameless) informed me via conference call that he had tested out StomperNet’s SiteSeer (or “Site Seer”) application and she/he was flabbergasted at how “mediocre” it was compared to our new SEOiQ Diagnostic Test (in front of 20+ other Affiliate friends of ours) – and was amazed ours had not gone ‘mainstream’ yet.

Naturally, I figured he was simply exaggerating and stroking my ego, so I went to StomperNet to see exactly what all the hype was truly about. Unfortunately, I was met with a lot of ’shiny pennies’ and glitzy effects – and quite honestly not much substance. (I had to mute my machine after 30 seconds of the techno music from their video intro/sales piece.)

I’ve always wondered how programs/systems/applications get so popular. Clearly, salesmanship is more important than functionality, my friends (case in point).

Seriously our SEOiQ Tool blew StomperNet away…it wasn’t even a fair fight.

Upon first glance all the glitzy graphics and futuristic image transitions will impress/please the eye – see a screenshot of the SiteSeer welcome page eye candy (and I use that term loosely, unless you think web design peaked with Microsoft’s first iteration of the XBOX brand site back in 2001) below:

I have to hand it to the StomperNet folks, they truly know how to do create high value video/audio productions, but their collective ability to build a great SEO diagnostic tool needs much to be desired.

In comparison our SEOintelligence Homepage is simple and cleanly laid out:

Next step in the process is to check out the SiteSeer Tool input form. Here’s a screenshot:

Compare that to our SEOiQ Diagnostic Tool input form process to SiteSeer’s (they have almost identical inputs!) — see SEO isn’t that complicated :

Below are the (IMHO – lame) results from the SiteSeer diagnostic test series – long winded and very difficult to interpret (in comparison to the graphical and easy to understand SEOiQ Test ):

Now let’s compare the SEOiQ Diagnostic test results and accompanying SEOi Toolset’s highly prescriptive results – see below:

As you can see the SEOiQ results are not ‘buried’ in a ton of rhetorical SEO 101 copy/text, instead they are all displayed in easy to read charts for simple comparison and analysis…(covering onpage and off page topics including: site structure, social networks, readability and popular search engine index stats and many more) – some other SEO diagnostic tests simply “can’t handle the truth” – ehhh hemmm.

I respect the StomperNet Team – but a spade is a spade.
