Training the SEOiQ Algorithm - MATLAB and NNTool

matlab-logo.jpgTraining a algorithm? is that his Dogs name? Okay, it may sound funny - but that is exactly what we have been doing for our SEOiQ Diagnostic Test and Scoring System. It sounds a lot more complicated than it truly is, but in a nutshell we have trained a Neural Network in MATLAB using NNTool (Neural Network Toolbox) to tweak/muscle/tune/mold and eventually complete our SEOiQ Algorithm.

We ran into many issues during testing and implementation (not all have been resolved - cough cough) and this ws my first time with this complex of a MATLAB project. So I learned a ton working with different layer weights and biases + tweaking the network schema, plus hundreds of other complexities I won’t dare to bore you with.

Then the real fun started after analyzing the 1000+ pieces of sample data, we had to then convert our crazy Matlab simulation program to C# - and have it read all the various inputs with 100% accuracy, pass proper parameters and give the output instantly? (sounds like a killer Saturday night right? especially when you’re at 62% confidence and the simulation stalls - LOL)

This was quite a challenge in hindsight, and not what I thought it would be - a journey. I’m certainly glad we were patient and all participants took our time (including myself) - Honestly we were close to abandoning the idea for the sheer complexity of the problems encountered vs. benefit. But, now we are very happy, and SEOiQ Algo testing is in its final stages!

Please Note: the SEOiQ Diagnostic Test is fully functional, but you may encounter intermittent scores, and ‘o’ - blank scores while we continue testing.

I wanted to give a shout out to Rohit! You are the SEOiQ Algo Guru!!!
